More of an update rather than progression. Spent this evening working on the shell, stripping the rest of the chassis and just evaluating any other items of concern.
The spray job has worked out great, really looks good in the flesh, pictures don't really do the colour full justice…
I applied some of the decals, didn't want anything too mad, the windows and a single logo look just right…
As for the strip down, just a few progress pictures…
Side plates off…
Repair job from its previous owner! I’d noted this from day one, and what seemed to have been a heavy impact on the front corner of the chassis plate, you can see the slight kink on the very corner…
Removed the rear frame…
Diff cover off…
On to the centre diff and brakes…
Front frame off…
With a missing e-clip, and the distortion in the chassis plate, it came to no surprise that the front suspension plate is a bit buckled, and on checking it in the manual for a part number, i also realised that the actual front bumper is completely missing! Must have had a few bumps in its past life, enough to destroy the bumper. Thankfully its not sustained anything serious with it missing…
And the 3 diff’s awaiting a strip down, clean and new grease…
Did my homework and ordered some oils for the diff’s and shock’s. Hopefully will be here for the weekend, and with a bit of luck the turn around of getting HyperFresh back on the road will be short and sweet.
